We underwrite firms the way firms actually get paid.
Billable Capital is a direct funding source for law firms, accounting and CPA firms, consultancies, marketing and creative agencies, and architecture and engineering practices, based in Miami, Florida. We underwrite working capital, lines of credit and receivables funding in-house, off your bank statements and your client billing, with 2-page contracts and no lockbox on your operating account.
What we are
Billable Capital is a direct funding source for professional-service firms. We underwrite working capital advances, lines of credit and receivables facilities in-house, off your bank statements, and we fund them from our own capital. SBA 7(a), SBA Express and term loans above $500,000 are packaged by us and placed with our bank and SBA-preferred lending partners, because that is who funds those products.
Billable Capital is headquartered at 9719 S Dixie Hwy #8, Miami, FL 33156.
What we believe about this industry
Firms get underwritten badly. The standard model looks at a business with no inventory, no machinery and no real estate and sees nothing to lend against. It treats a contingency practice’s three settlements a year as volatility, a CPA firm’s quiet August as decline, and a consultancy with one anchor client as a concentration risk to be refused rather than priced.
None of that describes the actual credit. A firm’s asset is its billing: who the clients are, whether they recur, whether there is a retainer or an engagement letter under them, and how reliably the invoices get paid. That is visible in three months of operating-account statements if you know how to read them. We read average daily balance over top line, the number and recurrence of payers over a single good month, your floor instead of your average, and we treat a slow-paying corporate client as a timing problem — which it is — not a credit problem.
How we work
In-house first
Every file goes to our own underwriting desk before it goes anywhere else. You get a real answer from the people who make the decision.
Numbers before signatures
Amount, total payback, payment and schedule, on screen, before you commit to anything. The contract is two pages. You review documents for a living; this one won’t take long.
Call us before you stack
If the payment stops working, we would rather re-term a live file than watch a firm take a third and fourth position. That conversation costs you nothing.
No automated outreach
We don’t run drip campaigns. If you hear from us, it’s a person who has read your file.
The straight version of what this costs
Fast money is expensive money. A 12-month working capital advance is the most expensive product we offer, and it exists because payroll on Friday doesn’t wait 45 days for an SBA approval. If you have 680 credit, two years of returns and a month of runway, SBA will cost you a fraction of what we charge for an advance, and we will tell you that on the phone. If your only problem is that corporate clients pay on day 60, receivables funding is usually cheaper than either. We would rather place you correctly once than fund you wrong twice.
Billable Capital is a new brand and does not claim otherwise. We do not publish testimonials we did not receive, funded-volume figures we cannot support, or awards we did not win. Every number on this site is a real criterion or a representative example, labeled as such. See compliance and disclosures.
